Traceability: We maintain records for all wholesale and export lots.
Origin: All honey sold via this site is 100% Pure Canadian Honey**, produced by colonies managed in Alberta. - Limitation of Liability
Greidanus Honeybee Farm is not responsible for damages resulting from improper storage or handling of the honey once it has left our facility or been delivered to the customer’s carrier.
Shipping & Logistics
At Greidanus Honeybee Farm, we pride ourselves on professional standards and traceability. Whether you are a local wholesale partner or an international export client, we ensure your honey is prepared for transport according to strict food safety protocols.
1. Domestic & Wholesale Shipping (Canada)
Fulfillment Timeline: Standard wholesale orders are typically processed within [X] business days.
Carrier Selection: We can arrange shipping via our preferred carriers, or customers may coordinate their own pickup at our Honey Mill farm location in Alberta.
Risk of Loss: For domestic shipments, the risk of loss and title for the products pass to the purchaser upon delivery to the carrier.
2. International Export & Customs
As a second-generation Alberta operation, we understand the complexities of global honey trade.
Incoterms: Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, international sales are typically conducted under EXW (Ex Works) or FCA (Free Carrier) terms from our facility.
Documentation: We provide standard export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA) where applicable.
Compliance: The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the imported honey meets the specific regulatory requirements of the destination country, including any additional labeling or testing beyond Canadian CFIA standards. Duties & Taxes: All import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
3. Palletization & Handling
To maintain the “New Look, Same Greidanus Honey” quality, all bulk orders are secured using industry-standard palletization:
7 kg Pails & 3 kg Jugs: Stacked and shrink-wrapped to prevent shifting during transit.
Temperature Control: While honey is shelf-stable, we recommend climate-controlled shipping for long-haul international routes to prevent crystallization or heat damage.
4. Shipping Discrepancies
Inspection: Upon arrival, the receiver must note any visible damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing for the delivery.
Claims: As per our Terms & Conditions, any shipping-related damages or shortages must be reported to Patti at info@honeybeefarm.ca within 30 days of receipt to facilitate a claim.
